Hi.
I have recently upgraded from Unity 2.5 to 2.6, and the Terrain Assets package started to hang the program. When I start to paint the tree on a newly created terrain, Unity quits with an error. No matter what computer I use. I tried it on the PowerBook G4 with system 10.4.11, PowerMac G5 with 10.4.11 and 10.5.8. All three configurations give the same error.
I have imported the whole package again after the upgrade, and still the same.
Moreover, the standard assets also cause this problem. When I try to paint a Palm tree, that is in the standard assets folder, Unity also hangs.
What is it ?
Cheers.
this is a bug apparently in the free 2.6 version, i think unity dev is aware of and should be hopefully fixed in 2.6.1 release

I also get the trouble and for a project i need that tree paint feature , so I just hope the fix wont take too much time to come
I see.
Fortunately crash happens only the first time, when the terrain is created. After the first paint/crash everything works fine.
Well, good to know that it’s a general, known issue.
Cheers.
