I’m having a problem with the Terrain detail distance. When I run the game in Unity, this parameter works just fine and behaves as expected. But when I publish the game for web or standalone, this parameter does not. It seems like the parameter gets hardcoded to a value of about 4 or 5. No matter what I set it to, it does not change in the published players. As a result, the grass and other details are only viewable around the player.
Any ideas as to what could be going on here? Is this a Unity bug? I’m using version 3.4.1f5.
