Terrain Detailed Meshes coming out random colors

Hi,

We have a simple low poly model representing a rock painted onto our terrain as a detail mesh.

It’s render mode is set to ‘Vertex’ as we want it to be shaded by the light source.

It’s colors (both Healthy and Dry) are set to the same reddy orange color.

In the editor they appear fine.

In the final built game they appear random colors, sometimes black, sometimes dark green, and sometimes red.

We are rendering using deffered lighting (if that is relevant).

Has anyone else seen this problem and does anyone have any idea what might be causing this?

Had the same problem.

After pulling my hair for a couple of days i got it to work. (since there is almost no one else with this problem)

changing the material from default-diffuse on the detail-meshes fixed it.
