I use the Broadleaf speedtree from the environment asset on a terrain.
also baking the lightmap of a 2000x terrain doesn’t do a thing, speedtrees don’t work with lightmapping? (you know, like in the old days)
lightmap does not work with large terrains. A lightmap is just a graphic texture, if your terrain is 2000x even if your texture is 4096 pixels, the shadow of a tree will be a pixel on size, so you wouldn’t even see it. It sucks I know. I would love a better way to do lightmaps on terrains but so far it’s what we got.
What about the transparency glitches, have you encountered those?
I think regular unity trees are having the same problem. I don’t use speedtree and I see exactly the same behavior.
