I created a terrain and noticed terrtain editing was really slow and choppy; lagging in updates for half a second sometimes. it was really annoying.
Trying it with mouse, it works fine and smooth.
Going back and forth between Wacom tablet and mouse (you can have both plugged in and working at the same time, if you’re unfamiliar with a Wacom tablet) I noticed that the wacom tablet was ALWAYS slow and choppy.
As far as I can tell, everything else works the same with the tablet. Zooming, rotating, and panning the view with the Wacom tablet works fine. It just appears to be terrain editing.
Perhaps you need to play with Intuos Tablet Driver settings. All else, make sure you have the latest driver installed. It is most likely a problem with the driver or one of its settings. After all, Windows is telling Unity what you are doing with the tablet by translating it into mouse clicks, not Unity interpreting it directly as far as I understand the hardware/software relationship.
Also, I have had problems with my tablet not working having intellipoint or intellitype installed with my intuos. Without them installed everything works without a hitch.
Yes, 2 weeks old, but I just want to add my request for full tablet support (re: pressure, speed, etc.) for terrain editing and tree/grass placement. I use GROME II for my heightmap creation purposes most of the time now, then go into the game engine to ‘tweak’ the terrain as well as do a lot of my texture painting there (GROME II has awesome texture painting, but most of it’s cool features get lost or downgraded too much when doing the import). Anyway, more creative freedom using a pen and tablet would be great for Unity!
