Terrain Goes Pink On Device

Hi Guys,

My terrain is looking perfect in the editor, however when I build to Android all the terrain goes pink (excluding trees, and assets placed on the terrain). I google’d and ppl said that it’s a material/texture linking issue. So I re-imported my terrain, and checked the link to each of the textures it’s using. Plus they all look okay in the editor version of the game.

Can anyone tell me what’s going on?!

Thanks!

Slight change of effects… It’ll show textures in the distance from the camera… But not nearby. The build was working before and no camera settings have changed. Basically I imported a 3D static mesh into Unity, which has nothing to do with the terrain. It’s just a random GameObject. Since then, the terrain has gone pink. I’m not sure if it’s some referencing issue behind the scenes… But I’ve checked every texture in the editor, and gone to ‘Edit Texture’ in the Terrain Editor panel and made sure that they’re connected to working textures. It all looks okay and works in the editor, it’s just when I build to Android. Not only that, but the only textures I’m using are the ones that come with the Unity Standard Assets under ‘Environment’.

Any ideas guys?!

Okay well I fixed the problem, but I’m not sure exactly how/why. I found that by changing the standard shader to a custom shader, it’s now working on mobile. I’m guessing it’s shader was corrupted or not recognising the standard or something…

Hi.

If this issue still persists would you be able to report it? We can only fix things we know about

Thanks
