Hello, I am trying to paint grass and details onto my terrain, but when I use the paintbrush, nothing seems to be happening. I checked the settings and set detail distance and density to max, but nothing changed. I am just trying to use the assets in the terrain assets package. Does anyone have any ideas on what I am doing wrong?
Ok, so I reloaded the scene, and the detail meshes work, but when I paint them, I get strange rectangular shaped bare patches. Is something wrong with my detail settings/resolution?
Bump
It seems to be working fine now. Turning down the target strength actually provided better coverage than a higher target strength. I don’t know why this is, probably because of my severe lack of knowledge of the terrain engine. It’s not so important now, but if someone could explain why this is, that would be nice for knowledges sake.
If anyone else is searching for an answer to this problem, here’s a suggestion. Make sure you have Terrain Collider enabled. It appears that the position of the brush cannot be determined if this is disabled. The brush should appear as a blue spot on the terrain.
