Terrain help (421485)

So I want my map to be bigger then the maximum size the terrains will let me go. (I believe Ive understood that’s around 2.5 miles.) I was thinking I could set the terrain side by side, and simply cut the heightmap into 4ths and distribute it to its own terrain. I figured as it was comprised of a once whole image it’d have no holes in it.

I was wrong, lol. There is several minor holes on the edges. Mostly along the slopes. I’m wondering if there’s a smarter more efficient way to do this? Or if I should just bind the holes with a mesh. Any advice?

well you could wait for unity 3 because there is a terrain stitcher in that so you can put multiple terrains together.

Oh, that sounds cool. Is anyone sure if its in the Indie version or not?

Not as far as I know. However, there is this.
