Terrain holes at runtime

Hi, I am trying to integrate the new terrain holes feature into a runtime environment.
Would somebody be able to explain if/how terrain holes can be created at runtime?

Ideally I would like to place a brush template at location (x,y) that then creates the hole.

Have you checked the Terrain Tools API yet and what’s available there?
