Now this will be the final question for the night, and I’ve been thinking, and seen it in asset store.
Which would be a more effective, useful, and realistic way of making mountains, modeling it with the brushes in Unity terrain,or modeling it in a 3rd party program like Blender, then importing and placing the mountains by hand? Which would get a better effect in the end?
Thanks for all the help
It all depends on how well you can model in Blender. You would need to unwrap and apply a uv map to the model if you do it this way. I usually do 3rd party modeling software for terrains, since you can add shaders to them like any other object. Built in terrain doesn’t let you do this, unless Unity have changed that in Unity 4. I know of a terrain shader pack in the asset store, but have never tried it out. Hope this information was useful.
