Hello, this is my pom shader for unity terrain, It should run fast, but I’d like you to post your stats here

Controls:
Q to enable/disable the shader
E to visualize the vertex color

I also get 50fps and then 103-ish fps in fullscreen. Im using a gtx480.
Seems cool but i only really noticed the effect directly underneath me.

I get ~50fps. Nvidia Geforce GT 555M here.
Weirdly, the effect is only see-able in a certain amount of radius from the player.
59-ish, 104 or so when running fullscreen.
Radeon HD 5750
About 30 on a Intel GMX X4500 integrated. So well done
Exactly the same stats as the gtx 580. I got a gtx680 though.
Looks good btw.
Same i got 50 fps (window) and 100 Fullscreen with a gtx650ti wich is half the power of a gtx680 must be a GTX thing lol

Here’s a updated version https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/91501658/POM%202-5-13/forwardRendering/WebPlayer.html
NOTE: the effect cannot be applied to the whole terrain, as it would be too expensive for our gpus. So I added a smooth transition so that u can set up a radius around the player in which POM is used
PS
in my shader everything is fully customizable : the distance, the height, the number of search steps, the faked AO
the shader is great it look better on the first build (Less jagged) But as you say it fully customizable this does not worry me. Top Work
Great stuff, I’m getting 50+ FPS and 100+ FPS in fullscreen.
Same framerate as before.
On my desktop it’s 50fps windowed, 100fps fullscreen, on my laptop (an Alienware M11x R2) it’s 50fps windowed, and between 50 to 75 fps fullscreen. (goes up to 90 with your shader disabled)

Here’s a new build, much more faster than the first one https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/91501658/POM%202-5-13/WebPlayer.html
Sorry for the low quality, but I just used few depth steps so that it will run fast on every pc

Nice, same 50fps and 100fps (quadro2000)
ps. Can you make the character walk faster (or add shift to run)?
(the whole scene ‘feels slow’ because of the walkspeed…imo : )
