Since the iPad 2 is announced I’m thinking if it is possible to exchange the “old” iPad with an iPod touch 4 for performance tests? The retina display has a lower resolution, how much difference do you see when testing on iPad and iPod touch 4? Especially alpha related stuff.

(my mum could need my old iPad and I need a retina device anyway ;))

Even with the slowly expanding number of iOS devices, we’re still in the very lucky position where owning all of them is a fairly reasonable proposition for most developers. Keep the old iPad around if you’re planning on releasing software for it.
