I know you need a license to sell Xbox games made in Unity, but in the upcoming update can you at least test your game out on the xbox? It would be fun to test my games on the faster running xbox rather than my crummy laptop.
You need to be a registered Xbox developer, and you need the Unity Xbox license. It would be much cheaper and easier to get a better computer. (Anyway the Xbox 360 is 6-year-old tech; it would be quite cheap to get a better system than that.)

Well all I have now is like $300 so I won’t be getting a new pc any time soon.
Nor will you test on the xbox then I fear as you can’t target the indie marketplace, only the real thing (XDK - no XNA support at all) and with $300 you quite far away of even getting a dev contract with MS if you don’t have a blast of a game to make them interested. But even then thats without considering the tens of thousands per title for Unity X360
Sorry this is such a late post but if I am correct and if Microsoft isn’t lying to me… then a license to make a indie game on the marketplace is $100.00
It is for XNA I think.
correct, $100 is XBLIG which is C# + XNA which is not supported nor on Unitys roadmap.
You need a real developer license with XDK to target XBox Live Arcade or XBox Disc Distribution to even be able to enter license negotiations with UT about Unity for XBox
Aaand the Necropostinomcom strikes again! This thread is from 2011. It’s 2013 now. Just let it stay dead, guys.
