Testing if there is an internet connection.

Hi folks, is there a way that you can test if there an internet connection?

I have been asked to have a button go to a website to promote a game but they have also asked that if there is no internet connection that the button takes you to a placeholder page.

I have the button set up to go to the page but I’m not sure how to go about doing what they have asked.
