Text flickering when font is not monospace

Hey there!

I use a text object where the playtime is displayed. The object is anchored on center top

The time format is 00:00:00 for minutes, seconds and milliseconds.

When I use a monospaced font the text is displayed fine, but I use a non monospace font in the whole game, so I want to use it also on this text object.

And there the problem is, that the text flickers on every update because of the font.

Of course 00:09:55 for example is “wider” than 00:01:11 and so the text flickers from left to right.

What can I do to avoid this, except of using a monospaced font?

Any idea from anyone?
