Texture Importer set to 2048 but image comes in at 1024

As title says.

My image is 1230x1064. The Texture Importer is set to
Max Size 2048
Compressed

In the debugger, m_material.mainTexture.width comes in as 1024.

Is the Texture Importer broken?

  • go to the texture importer
  • set texture type to advanced
  • and set the non power of two to tolarger

now it wont go to the nearest what is the defult value and in you case is 1024
