I hope this is the right category β¦
I imported a model from maya 2011 but the surface/texture of the mesh is turned inside out.
Do you have an Idea how to fix that?
Cheers!

I donβt know Maya but it sounds like you need to flip your normals
Hey guys. I know this is an old topic/problem but I just found out one of the ways to fix it. May not work for you but worth the try.
In your scene, click the gameobject your material that is inside out and check the Skinned Mesh Renderer. Under its properties, go to Root Bone. Change your target transform of bone to None.

This works for me and I hope it works for you too ![]()
It worked! thanks!
Wow! Thanks, I did it and it worked. Half of mirrored model was flipped and I had no clue what to do as the normals all pointed in the same direction in my modelling app.
One of those weird phenomenons in Unityverse.
Wow! Interesting solution. Iβm definitely bookmarking this.
