I made a simple box in maya with a texture on it. I repeted UV [4.00][4.00] and off set it [0.50] [0.00] so it looks ok in maya. But after i exporte it to FBX the off set is switched to [0.00] [0.50]. And above that when i try to import it into Unity all of the settings are gone and the texture is looking as it never been set.

If someone can explain what em I doing wrong and what is the best solution I would be grateful.
UV offset and scale settings are not properly imported/exported. You should either properly UV the box in Maya or set the offset and scale in Unity. Here’s a page from the docs that should be helpful:
I wouldn’t want to set it from Unity couse I’m planing to use more complex objects in the game and i think it would be hard to put texture from unity. After all i will put the texture on the object from maya to look at it if it looks good.
But I’m not sure what is the best way to do it so if u think its better to set textures from unity then maya i will try that.
I’m using maya and unity a week now and I’m really a beginner.
Maybe if u can explain what is the proper setting for it in maya.
Ok I managed to get around it … I learned to us the UV Texture Editor in maya and it works perfectly when imported in unity I think this is the proper way to put textures…
