I need some advice im making a texture and cant decide what size it should be? its for a table in a first person game aimed at all platforms(eventualy) Oh and also the textures will be handpainted if that changes anything, i think 512 or 1024. i read through this guide: Texture Optimization - Building and Texturing Forum - Second Life Community but i do need to think of filesize as people wont download a large game on ios,android and web

Thanks for your advice you work is some of the best ive everseen , my build target is all platforms but to start with pc,web,mac and android so im going to go for 256 but the bottom will be the same as the top(it wont be visible).
off topic have you ever worked on Nintendo DS games?
