is it possible to apply a colored texture on a font?

Do you mean you want the texture to appear within the outline of the text (as if the letters were cut out of paper with the texture printed on it)? I don’t think there is any straightforward way to do this with the standard font system. It’s probably easiest to prepare textures containing the text with Photoshop/Gimp if possible.
