Textured material not scaling?

I made a large sphere in Blender and inverted the normals (sorry if I’m getting the terminology wrong) to create a big dome that the game takes place inside of. I brought that into Unity and when I try to apply (for instance) the default grid material, it doesn’t really work at all—it just looks solid black no matter what parameters I change. I’ve tried the tiling values, turning up the global ambient lighting, different shaders, but I never see any grid lines. What am I missing?

You must uv-unwrap your mesh in Blender. Edit mode → select all → “u” → select the most appropriate option.
