I’m sorry to post this here, as this is mainly a 3DS Max problem. But I’m hoping someone here could point me into the right direction as to why this is happening. Essentially, as shown in the picture, my wall is made up of 3 cubes as to open a door way. It was the easiest way for me to do this. However, when I apply the texture to this , each cube now holds the texture separately. Can someone tell me how to fix this ?
You need to assign proper UV-coordinates to your vertices in 3DS. A default cube will have UV-coordinates assigned to it that maps the entire texture to each side of the cube.
Search for “texture mapping” on the net and I think you will find what I’m talking about.
