Hi UT team , long story short Unity finally gave me the push to learn programming and directly lead to 2 ( GREAT , not game related) jobs . I was really only able to get started on Android thanks to the give away next year .
While I can now afford the mobile licenses( indie ) , I’m very glad to see their free ! This will help out plenty of kids ( and grown folks like myself) get into game development .
With any luck I’ll be going pro soon enough( combo pack for 4k all platforms , maybe ?)

This is great to hear, I’m sure Unity will be thrilled to know that there push towards offering Unity basic for free and the occasional give away (e.g last year, mobile basics) has allowed people to achieve their dreams. At least I assume getting into programming jobs was part of your dream, even if there not game related (yet)?

And that sounds really cheesy but it really does make everyone at Unity proud.
For me the main thing is getting a job with decent pay, basically with Unity I was able to build my skills to a point where I can actually market myself as a programmer .
Not really worried about getting a game related job , the rent comes first after all , but games are a fun hobby !
