I’m glad to present our final year project here at Supinfogame, a French school in Game Design and Project Management. We are a small team of five students totally passionate about what we’re doing and we really hope you’ll enjoy it.
Big Bang is a 3D puzzle game (based on the string theory) in which the player will be the major actor of the creation and expansion of the universe thanks to his ability to handle the smallest element in the universe: a string.
Big Bang is about simultaneous large and small scale management, rhythm, and chain reaction.
Our main inspirations for Big Bang are awesome game experience like flOw, Flower, Osmos and Auditorium.
The game prototype will be released at the end of June and show to a panel of professional from the game industry (Ubisoft, Arkane Studio, Quantic Dream, Ankama, etc.)
If you want to follow us, here is our twitter: x.com We will also unveil soon our devblog and the game website.
I’ll update the post as often as possible. We’ll start with artworks, sketches, screenshots and then some prototypes soon !
Don’t hesitate to send me a message if you have any questions.
Here are three speed paintings illustrating the micro side of the game, the smallest scale.
The middle one is a string which is the most important element in our game because it is the foundation allowing the player to create asteroids, stars, planets, etc.
Screw gameplay footage, I can’t wait to play this. Sounds incredibly fun, and very unique. I can’t think of a single game based off the big bang. Pretty incredible concept.
We also believe it’s a very unique game concept and we are working really hard to make the final prototype as good as possible. Hopefully players will enjoy this game experience !
I’ll post new artworks next week and maybe one of the music theme of the game !
Here is a brand new screenshot of the current prototype with a sun and several planets
Now that we have the whole game system, we are going to start to work on the feedbacks and then will add some really cool overall effect like bloom and motion blur.
It looks very interesting! Much unlike all the generic-shooter-sequel-trailers I’ve seen from the E3 this week. The look and feel are already quite cool, and from what I could gather the mechanics could be very fresh.
The thing is though, the trailer makes a whole lot of questions pop up in my head, but it doesn’t answer many of them; it doesn’t leave me with a good idea of what the game is about. Neither the description in your initial post nor the trailer have really told what I’ll be doing in the game. If you want me to get exited for the game, give me something concrete to go on.
