We just can see a screenshot. What kind of feedback do you wish?
^Yeah true, I have updated the first post with an ingame screenie which was supposed to be posted originally :).
Any comments on it?
too redish?
All I see is red, the weapon and hud from the fps tutorial and something that resembles a level behind all the red. ![]()
No, but seriously there isn’t a lot to comment on yet and you’ve obviously not come far with your actual game.
I think the main gameplay can be perfected long before you actually start making maps or decide on the look of a game, but that’s just my opinion.
What’s with all the red?
I just made an attempt in giving a danger room look. I think I’m very bad in game development:p
Not bad. It’s just too bright, tone down the lighting and leave the red lights but having it darker will give you the look you are after. Keep at it and I am sure you can polish it up.
Thank you for the encouragement. I’ll work on that tomorrow :).
theres no proper use of lighting/shadows etc, a point light needs to be up there somewhere, not just a rendered color to bright red. Originally in a room with no windows (that is what i am seeing) the rendering setting in unity should be pitch black (because thats how it is in real life in a dark room shut off from any light/windows) then thats when you add in the light and you can change the light to a red color if you wish, but not too intense because itll ruin the atmosphere.
With every project, first find some reference then you can set up the correct mood + lighting
Good models and plenty of them in shot, which is good.
The models are great they just dont have textures, or decent lighting.
Work on the textures, lighting and most importantly, the actual game. I’m convinced that most people including myself would never actually finish making a game with hitboxes, objectives, AI and suchlike presenting such enormous areas in themselves that most Unity projects are just collections of assets and a modified movement script.
Try calculating a lightmap and getting some shadows in there. Take away all the red and add one red point light above it all and it will look quite good.
Just a suggestion, love to try this game.
