The Day The Zombies Came WIP

Ello, I just figured i would make a thread about my WIP game here, to show how stuff is coming together, and some critisism (constructive). Here, you can give some plot Ideas, as well as help with character, weapon, and map design, help make that, and, of course, SCRIPTING! Thats really what I need now. Script help. But, oh well, Here are a few screenshots on this for you to see how far I am coming along… thanks!     I like smilies!

Heres some pics of this. I need help fixing my weapon-lower script, so I have been working on some modelling. I really suck. And the level may be in the final version, this is just a test more or less to get an idea of how its done.

And some of those bad models:

It looks like its coming along pretty well. Keep it up, I would love to play a zombie FPS made in Unity. I had a ton of excellent FPS code, but I screwed it all up by trying to make it multiplayer compatible (Unity Networking has always escaped me). If you need any help with concepts though I can toss along some info, as I’m sure a lot of other members here can.

One bit of criticism, make the images smaller. Scale them down.

Other than that i agree, this looks like it is coming along well. Well done and keep it up.

Thanks NickAVV! I might need some code soon, and certainly some textures, but the basic functions of the game are, well basic. Fire. Open door. Kill zombie. but whats basic is complex inside! And that is something I keep in mind.

killer1390: sorry, that would take a lot of time. And it looks best at the native 124x768. You have a bigger screen than that, right? lol

Of course I do. I have 1280 by something . I was simply saying that it makes me have to scroll back and forth, what about the people with smaller resolutions :). Doesn’t matter.

Its fine by me. I’m veiwing it on the same screen as I make it, so I can understand.

YES! I fixed the big bug where the gun intersects objects, and it works absolutly PERFECT! And I think at this stage, I should make some builds so you can move about the map and see everything, and try to find glitches gamers will exploit. Here are more pics:

Do it. Get a build up .

I will. But first, I want to make it more bad-ass. Add more sound, touch stuff up a little bit. Ya know? I mean, its an AK-47 using a pistol fire clip. lol

OK, here. They are incomplete and still have some bugs (fire animation is glitchy). Also, you will hear the drip play on the top, and the wind on the bottom. if anyone knows how to fix this, so like, sounds cant play through walls, let me know. I am open to suggestions:

But for some reason it wont let me post: Post mode not specified?

Could you tell me if its going to be a regular shooter, or a more RPG-like one?

First-person shooter.

If you want, I could help you by making some props for your game:) Nothing animated tho’,
Drop me an e-mail at lassebmann@gmail.com

Sure. What I really need is some zombie models, ready for animating. I am sucky at modelling, so making anything as complex as a person would just be a kill.

YEa! Most of the basic FPS stuff is done! I still have other weapons, firing a ray, and some NPC’s, then I am done with that, and i can go onto modelling and level-specific code (like opening doors)

How’s that for awesome gameplay? And yes, my FPS is 14, the clips slow the FK out of my computer… and theres a weird ontriggerenter glitch when picking them up…

14 FPS? Lol, that’s hilarious. You need to get a better computer.

Good stuff for a first try. But, 14 FPS? I’m not even sure how that’s possible with that bare empty room. What is your hardware? And what are your rendering statistics (open the stats in the game view bar)?
