The Debug Log: A Podcast about Unity Game Development

Hey Devs,

Obinna here, and I am one of five co-hosts on The Debug Log, a podcast about Unity3d Game Development. For almost a year now we have been releasing weekly episodes about game development topics ranging from 2D and 3D game development, mobile marketing strategies, and creating awesome UIs to must-have Asset Store assets and outlining steps to creating a networked game. I should note that all five of us are professional game developers who use the Unity3D platform on a daily basis, but we still strive to bring in industry leaders and experts in game dev like CEO and Founder of Fig, Justin Bailey and Unity’s own Chief Marketing Officer, Clive Downie.

In any case, being on the cusp of our 1-year anniversary, it just hit me that we have yet to talk about the podcast on Unity’s Developer Forum, which is ironic to say the least! We love, love, love the Unity community and it is truly the reason behind us starting this podcast. When we were at our first Unite (in Seattle) we met so many cool, interesting, and talented developers that we wanted to keep the good vibes flowing – and thus the podcast was birthed. We’ve since built hundreds of new relationships with game devs like you and that is what keeps us going. Anyway, before this gets any more sappy, let me drop a link to our RSS feed and website in case you’re interested in giving an episode a listen.

In any case, we hope to see you at Unity’s Unite 2016!

Enjoy the show!

P.s. Any and all feedback is welcomed.

Cheers,

Baffling that you’ve never thought to post on the developer forum until now… :slight_smile:

Sounds interesting though - will check out a few episodes.

Haha, ‘baffling’ is the perfect word. Thanks though, let us know what you think!

Welcome aboard. This is the most important part of the community. :wink:

I’ll check out the pod cast, need something to do on the drive home since gigi is out of action.

I’m having trouble with the filehost. I get download speeds in the single digit kilobyte per second range and ultimately the download just failed before it finished.

Just been listening to episode 1. You talked about the longevity of Parse, and it was pretty safe once Facebook had bought it…

If it’s really about Unity development, it should be called Debug.Log();
