Hi, my name is Tyler, and i think i, ready to make a thread about the game ive been working on!
The game is a Medieval RPG called “The End.” Your part of an order known as the “Draken Order” and what you do is train your body and mind to save your Land from Destruction, from Vexus, the god of death. One unique thing about The End, is the ability to Combine the elements (Started but not implemented). So you could create a Ice Tornado. Or a use a fireball attack cloaked in lightning. The option is up to you. Also, You are able to see your feet if you look down in First person No more “No feet First Person” You camera also moves with the characters animations. So if you die in First Person, the camera follows every head movement.
Here are some screenshots of the game. The setting is in the first dungeon, you play as your ancestor ending his/her journey by entering Vexus’s Domain. Its kinda like a tutorial level. Im the only one on this project so you can assume development will be a tad slow. (If i want to amazing, I gotta put time into it) And im only 15, so you should know what a 15 year old has to do at home (Chores, Groundations, ect, ect.)
I, however, wonder how you seriously plan on implementing an ‘elemental combination’ system. There are some games that have it. So what makes it awesome for the player? How does it affect gameplay, or even the game on a wide scale? Is their Paths a player can take for Elements? (Nature, Death, Fire, etc).
The combination of spells will allow you to attack harder, complete missons easier, and help you in dungeon puzzles, that require you to use you spells. And dont forget the cool effects itll bring
Currently i just finished a basic Combo spell, a Arcane cloaked fireball.
And i seem to have forgotten some screenshots of the portal! Haha The following shots show the 3 Lit Statues of your fallen brothers, and the “Helpers” (Think of pawns from dragons dogma) The last statue isint lit because well… Thats you.
Im done (For Now) with working on the first level, and now will work on either the terrain, or more mechanics. Such as your pawns following you, and getting the AI to stop being dumb. Im not too worried about the GUI. But its definitely on my list of things to get done.
