GPL force to use source in the same license apps then is only viable for opensource projects but almost of developers need make commercial apps with not open source and choice resources with MIT or other permisive license. In resume very few developers can live making opensource apps, personally i would be like make opensource apps but i need support many abandoned cats.

Boy, there’s a sensationalistic headline. It’s the fall of the GPL because no one is putting licenses in their code. Oh woe is us…

I hate licenses inside source code files, especially when they say something like that:

Basically, it’s like a mother of your girlfriend saying: you can marry my daughter but I will live in your house.

The only user friendly license I know (and use) is WTFPL. Other so-called permissive licenses and their authors should burn in hell.

Yes, heaven forbid anyone who shares their work to expect those who benefit from it to do the same!

The 007 license is missing from http://choosealicense.com/

I’m sure one of the “attorneys” on these forums can find fault with them but I have no issues with MIT, zlib, BSD or Apache.

Never had a problem finding suitable code/libs/api/engines etc. with one of the permissive licenses. I have never, to my knowledge, been forced to use GPL licensed stuff.

I couldn’t care less who uses GPL licensed stuff or who applies it to what they release.

Anything I might release in the future would be most likely be MIT or zlib.

Cheers
