Hi gang. Whipped up this 3D screenshot from The Late Call using a modified screen capture script and QTVR for novel result;

Once the flash version has loaded, you can click in the image and drag to rotate perspective (smoother than auto-rotate). There are some particle sorting issues that I hadn’t corrected, but it’s a 1st go. Also there are links to proper Quicktime versions with some sound effect overlay.
Couple of notes on the process; getting the images out of Unity was the ‘easy’ part, putting them together as a QTVR object proved more involved. Would have loved a simple work flow here, but found it a sad day that the “best” QT tools are on windows; where “best” = features / value. If anyone knows of good OS X tools for this (preferably cmd-line), please drop me a line.
There are other updates that could be made to the Unity capture script, like incorporating more angle views to rotate vertically not just horizontally, and can probably bring the resulting file size down. If anyone is interested in the Unity script used (the 1st part of the creation process), let me know and I’ll post it to the wiki with some additional notes.
Big thanks to NCarter for helping get the thread-usage started on this!
Enjoy!
