I’m working on getting the exact (single) PC type that this happens on but in the meantime has anyone any idea what causes this?
I think it’s either an out of memory error or the program trying to access a part of the RAM it doesn’t have the rights to. Thoughts?
It apparently is only happening on one machine (although I’ll clarify that shortly).
It happens when the player tries to load the play level after looking at one of the other static screen levels.
Hey namesake.
Can I get you to do this instead: http://forum.unity3d.com/viewtopic.php?t=502

I’ve tracked it down to a possible “Data Execution Prevention feature” in Windows.
Although there are a few other theories as well … video card memory access, antivirus, W2K or Photoshop Elements.
I will post when I’ve tracked it down.

Will post to bugs@otee.dk.

It’s this plus the W2K plus a bad video card. Also, OTEE guys, this is mentioned on the PACE website as well …
W2K does NOT have a DEP setting at all … it looks like something introduced with XP. So I’m looking into setting the graphics default setting back down a bit and also the video card issue may be at fault.
I did file a bug report via the email link, David.
