The entire survey was about which option would you choose and if you paid carful attention they were trying to gauge how people value the Dark Skin UI as a paid feature.
I really hope that this is a step in the right direction and Unity will finally end this pay wall trick for the dark skin which every other company on Plant Earth offers FOR FREE!
If the dark skin provides a large chunk of their overall revenue (by selling indie devs the Plus edition), they seriously need to reevaluate their business model.

The “Everyone upgrades to Unity Plus only for the Dark Theme” is merely a meme. I get it, it looks cool, I want to have it (normal plan plebe), but in no way, shape or form it justifies $35 per month.
Now, if we going to talk about the paid plans be more accessible, I would argue (and I didn’t put this in the survey), that some animation schools or Universities that provides Game Dev, Game Art degrees, can talk with Unity for a student plan for Unity Plus.
