That’s coming a bit later

Woohoo!

Wow awesome! Getting it right now. I figured it would be higher than .99, crazy.

That’s my sweat and blood there lads! please support!

The DPAD has polarised everyone 50-50. People either say it is genius, or the worst thing they’ve tried! This is because it is designed to be held all the time and rocked like a real dpad rather than a tappy affair.

Well, just got my new iphone 5. Buying this later on, looking forward to it.

wow, it’s already in top 100 in over 15 countries. Congrats with the release…

Nudging top 50 overall in some countries GO GO GO GO –

This game features unity staff as well, can any of you tell me what caitlyn says? Also of course the unity logo is in there somewhere  always supporting unity!

apple featured us!

Don’t browser version ?

Really enjoying the game so far. Well done guys! If there’s one thing that I’d suggest revisiting, it’s that climbing ladders should maybe “lock” left and right movement - at least to a degree. I find myself falling off ladders a lot because I just slightly nudge left or right while climbing, and it’s hard to avoid that slight left/right movement with touch controls.

I think with the lovely aesthetic and the features you guys will do well. I do think the difficulty could have been smoothed out and I’ve found the controls pretty frustrating. Are you guys going to keep updating?

Great job guys, looks fantastic.

One suggestion though. Please give an option to have a static d-pad… the floating one is extremely frustrating (for some at least) and actually made me stop playing last night.

I put down my 99c and i got to give my feedback:

Please gimme an option for a stationary DPad  I personally never liked DPads that follow my finger, nor ones that pop wherever I put my thumb (nor ones that are exactly as big as the icon, if i click far to the right of the DPad i want input to be registered still)

Once I went back to replay the first mission, I realized there is no way to skip the cut scene. Not good if I am attempting to master a level. Retry does not seem to replay the cut-scene but still. :stuck_out_tongue:

Oh and in the first level, died just after the first checkpoint. I resurrected right in front of a dog that then killed me >:( That’s cheap!!! Rez em with at least one pigeon, plz!

Other than those tree things, CONGRATS ON FINALLY LAUNCHING!!!

The dpad and icade is the most requested update feature so far, working on it now.

Meanwhile, try treating it like an analogue pad (because that is what it is) - sorry for the wrong impression by using a dpad graphic!!

Over on touch arcade there is a giant megathread based on … you guessed it people fighting over if the dpad is awesome or sucks. This is because half of them are treating it like a tap thing (ie super cratebox) when it’s actually analogue behind the scenes and prefers you to “tilt” your thumb over it as if it were a joypad.

This is getting upgraded don’t worry  and many more levels coming… multiplayer… more treats!

I think the control “complaints” are definitely far out-weighed by everything that is so RIGHT with the game. It’s extremely well polished and very enjoyable to play. I’d love to read a kind of post-mortem at some point re anything you consider note-worthy about the development process, tools/technologies used (aside from the obvious), etc.

Had to purchase it. Really fun. Very nice job all!

Just bought it. Enjoying it so far, except for the dpad moving issue, but you already know about that.

2 things:
I LOVE how the DPAD pushes in when you tap it. That was genius.
In my experience, you will make some happy with iCade but it wont boost sales at all. Hopefully you already are making enough to justify buying the hardware, but keep that in mind.

My issue is not that it feels DPadish, its how it keeps changing position as I drag my thumb.

As for the analog bit… I just went back to test his because I was not able to notice analog movement at all. I had to barely twist my finger to notice “slow walk”. I think you should increase the distance needed to pull your finger so it runs, and also increase the threshold for “walking” so its more noticeable. As it stands, I just cant walk without focusing extremely on “walking slow” (not sure if there is a point in the game where moving slow will mean much though.) I think that distance has more to do with the feels of it just being a DPad than the graphic itself.
