How about a renegade team of industry professionals with the crazy idea of throwing AAA graphics to the curb, and over the top budgets to create something downright fun just like the early pioneers in our industry, all the while blogging about it?
Hehe … its good to see that alot of people still believe in good game play over next gen graphics. Im from the days of intellivision and atari. Games were so unique once upon a time.
@Willc - Yeah those were the good days. I still remember the sound of my C64 data tape recorder/player. Loading a game to play was an experience in itself. Loved those Atari/Commodore64 days and I am happy I was around when all that happened.
Locked! Well you will have to show a bit more patience and visit our blog for future updates. There are going to be a lot of neat things about this game and I hope you will enjoy it as much as we like creating it.
Thanks all! Yeah the word spread around really quickly. We are now on Kotaku, Toucharcade, HandheldArcade and many others! We are a bit overwhelmed to be honest Didn’t expect that sort of response. Also, you can now “Like” us on Facebook (or hate us… whatever you choose!)
I also thought about this, i thought about going back to the way psone looked or even PS2 and focus on gameplay etc… its good to know my idea isn’t so farfetched lol i love the design so far keep t it
I think our look is more related to the old days C64/Amiga and NES … or a strange mix of all of these. Pixel art nowadays is different due to the fact that our color palette is far bigger for instance. Anyways, glad you like it. Make sure to subscribe for updates!
I’ve been wanting to do a pixel art game for a few years now, but I’m hoping this gets released before I get round to it, as I feel I’d rather PLAY this than make my own retro game. It is that exciting-looking. Come on Thomas forget tv, forget food, just finish this. I need.
It’s definately got a touch of amiga in there some where!
