The prime31 plugins

Greetings! I know that there is a thread nearby with all the tech questions about prime31’s plugins, but alas this is for something most different. It is unto me to congratulate the fine entrepreneurs at Prime31 for creating great iOS and Android plugins - we use them all the time and they saved us a great deal of time and money (as opposed to hiring developers to write something similar or write it ourselves) - Unity’s Asset Store sure made Unity great, and prime31 is a significant part of that.

Not only that, but ANY question you have or issue Customer Service is BEYOND any I have ever experienced in any field. And no I am in no relation or affiliation with the above poster , its just a fact that Prime31 kicks ass

Unfortunately I haven’t the same experience and some colleagues of mine either. They just started to develop their own plugins, just like I started to make my own StoreKit Mac plugin because the plugin of Prime31 is buggy. They say that they cannot reproduce a bug that occurs in the demo scene that is shipped with the product.

After a couple of bad experiences I cannot recommend them anymore.

I only have their GameCenter plugin at this point but my experience with them has been first rate.

I’ve had terrible support. They deleted my post off their support forum, twice, which is why I’m taking the time to post here

Their social networking plugin doesn’t play well with other 3rd party plugins to the point that I had to buy another plugin to get the functionality needed for facebook integration in the project.

They have a misleading documentation “fix” to get their plugin to work with the one I’m having issues with, but once you follow all the instructions the app halfway works but when a user goes to login to facebook it automatically closes the app when they give permission to the app.

As it is now, if a user is already logged into facebook the plugin works, but if you send the user to login the app crashes.

Oh well I won’t feel bad when I see their stuff on torrents. Terrible support.

@lmbarns, we responded to both of your support requests within 15 minutes. Both times we asked you for log output and steps to reproduce. Neither time did you provide even the most basic information that we need to be able to remotely diagnose an issue. We are unfortunately not psychic and thus require some information to work with. Out of curiosity, did you contact Vuforia for assistance? What did they tell you to do to fix the issue?

On top of all that, you are asking support for interoperability for a product that is not ours. We went out of our way to make a package specifically to address this. Did the other company do that for you? How quickly do they respond to your queries?

i have paid “iAd Plugin” on 2013-11-18, but no down link sent to my e-mail.
i had sent a mail from Prime31 “contact us” but no reply.

@escic, I already responded to your email but here is the response. We sent out a newsletter explaining the changes in July with regard to download links. Expired download links will download a txt file called READ_THIS.txt. Instructions to get your new download link are right in the txt file.
