The Prince of Persia Ebook by Jordan Mechner

I don’t know if you’ve heard of it, but the man who created the beloved Prince of Persia game just released his “journals” about the development of the first Prince of Persia game. I remember this title as one of my favorite games of all time since it was the first “fluid animation” game that I played.

You can check out a sample his book here → Jordan Mechner - Video games, graphic novels, and movies

He’s selling it but it has no DRM. According to him, he’s depending on fans and everyone to use the “honor system”.

I think the guy deserves support since in my view he raised the bar in animation and even gameplay back in the day. Prince of Persia is one of those classic games that’s still fun and interesting to play even in its original 2D form.

Amazon Kindle? UHG. Put it on iBooks and I will consider it

Thanks! I hope this is a good read.

And it’s Kindle or PDF, not just Kindle.

Kindle has apps for:

  • iPhone
  • PC
  • Mac
  • BlackBerry
  • iPad
  • Android
  • WP7
  • Web

If that’s too good for your snobbery, then may I suggest you use a more exclusive engine than Unity? Because last I checked it also supports half a dozen platforms.

Does the smiley mean you are joking? Those damn smileys at the end of sentences.

HELL NO! Only Apple can have my money!

He sounds a bit whiney to me. At least that’s the impression I got from the free sample.
