This is a “serious” game that we were forced to make for one of our classes. It was a small group of 3 and we ended up procrastinating quite a bit. This is the finished product (or at least the product we turned in because of time constraints). Hope you enjoy! It was a pain but we did put some effort into it. Please give feedback below so we could individually improve in the future!

It’s on Github because I can’t upload the game here (too large) and I am too lazy to find a solution (if you know one, comment one below).

The Toll of the Stroll

The goal of this game is to let the player experience the perspective of a person with social anxiety and depression. Through the gameplay, the player will learn how differently people with high anxiety perceive the world around them and how they feel about things that most people would find mundane or insignificant. The game itself will place the player in a park area in which they will collect flowers to help them with their mental state. As the player explores the environment to find these flowers they will come across many people which will cause the player character to start feeling anxious which will be indicated by a darkening screen. The rate at which the lighting changes back to normal is dependent on the number of flowers collected.
