Hello everybody!!
here you are the wip of my flightSim project called theDOG.
Currently it’s in alpha stage.
Thanks in advance for every comment.
Hi,
pretty nice work
the music saturate my computer speakers with the sub bass, test it on a laptop… maybe its only the film encoding, or my Mac
i hope see more about your game
It’s not your laptop, it’s a compression fault.
However that music is not a part of the game, it’s only for this video.
Thank you!
I really LOVE the interactive cockpit features and the visual feedback you get from the craft…
Cant wait to see more!
Frank
Nice,
should have shown some landing. overall Great work
Cheers
Steve
Thanks for bumping your own topic!
When can we beta test it for you? We see all these awesome screenies, but never actually have gotten to play…
I hope very soon!!!
I’m just “fighting” with GUI.
As soon as I’ll right tune it, the project will enter the first beta-stage and so it’ll be ready for tests.
Thanks for feedback!!!
Cool!
Ok, webplayer onLine!
Please remember it’s in alpha-stage.
No loading bar is shown, so be patience after pressing the play button.
Please feedback it!
Thank you!!!
First I want to say, great game. I’ve always liked flight shooters, and this is no exception. However, there are a few things I see. First of all, I think that the big nob below the switches should show how high you’ve cranked it, and when the plane will start moving. In addition, I think the way the plane crashes needs improvement. It just stops on the ground, and there is no restart button.
@Jon
Thanks Jon for feedback!!
Please remember the sim is in alpha (lots of work will has to be done yet), so no impact damage or explosion and no GUI right now.
For knob I don’t know, I want to stay near reality as much as I can, I want to think at plane hardware very well.
For “Ready to move” you’ve to look at rpm gauge, when they gain 70% rpm engines are in idle and plane is ready to move.
Thanks!
Thanks, I did not notice that.
Ok Guys,
Just added a fuel canister and a bullet mesh in the parking area near the middle of the runway (use’ em for refuelling and rearming).
Added lightplane impact explosion and a basic GUI button to reaload the sim.
Enjoy and feedback!
Thanks
Added 4 missions, a main GUI, a pause menu, a gForce-meter, trim commands, center view button, resolved lots of bugs and improved stability, still in alpha!
Feedback Please
Thanks
Ryan
just tried it out, it flies good when it flies (to much waiting though, unless you want to make a realistic flightsim, in which case its cool)
one comment i have though is that i am a geek when it comes to planes and if there is one thing i love about aircraft games, it is to land the bloody thing again, heh. i tried it in yours a few times but whenever i tried to slow down just the slightest i lost control over the aircraft, i even tried switching of one engine and suddently lost complet control, the whole landing part is not so important, but if you want the players to make advanced manourvers in the air, being able to throttle down for a sharp turn without loosing control is essential.
a wee bit of constructiv critism =)
the controls of the plane when in air and at full throttle are great though.

-Logan
the framerate on my pc is pretty bad. could be because of my old graphics card but even so its a nvidia geforce 7950 gx2 with dual gpu and a 1g or video ram.
