Can devs fix bookmarks? They just open thread without going to the bookmarked post.

1. My biggest issue so far has been trying to post. I had to find a post in a specific forum with the right tags to know what I should put against my post. There was no obvious order to what options lead to which tags. There needs to be a key table somewhere. This is exacerbated by the fact the post system doesn’t allow you to change the primary category, so if you end up in the wrong forum, you have to back out of the post, and scroll again trying to find the right forum. Then try again. If I clicked post anywhere, and was allowed to change the primary category, I could at least jump around until I found the right combination.

2. I don’t mind the look except that it is a bit cluttered when on mobile.

3. The Discourse Hub app doesn’t work with this forum for some reason? Any time I click it, it says this forum isn’t supported.

Revamping and simplifying the composer is one of our priorities for this quarter

I found something that’s weird also - I wanted to ‘opt out’ of cookies at the bottom of the screen.

You can’t physically clickon anything in this area due to the ever updated scroll down thing where it adds on stuff when you reach the bottom of the page.

Also, there is no “You Privacy Choices” in the footer anywhere …

You scroll down it updates, you get the to very bottom and scroll up, it updates. It’s 2024 this shouldn’t be as bad as it is. I hate moaning about it as nothing is going to change, but this forum is just awful to use.

There is a shield Icon in top right which allows you to opt out. we moved it after feedback

Clicking on the shield does nothing lol

I don’t like having to go through a list of about hundred(?) topics and subtopics related to the question (in Scripting for example) I’m asking - it brings up the vaguest most specific categories and you have to go through the whole lot to find it, that I just pick the first one in the list and be done with that. All these things have driven me away from using the forum that I used to visit every day, it’s just really too confusing.

Posting a question feels like going through customs in an airport.

I have raised this with Discourse there is an issue with the Android app they are working on it now

So the issue isn’t fixed when clicking the icon at the top of the discussions site which takes you to the app. Still get an error of “That URL could not be added to DiscourseHub.”

However, if I open the app alone, I can click + next to Unity Discussions and they get added.
