things I was looking forward to, have started to drop off the wish list

are now back in the general list :frowning:

And

XBox went from “started” to general too…

please dont read in to this - sure there is a good reason

There was a email to people that voted to the 360 one. Was a problem with mono that needs to be resolved before 360 is possible.

“mono needs to support AOT compile on 360’s PowerPC before this beomes 100% viable”

Deferred rendering is nice, but not really practical in an engine thats still mostly targeting small teams, and small/medium size game projects that need to run on older hardware.

Since deferred rendering really needs an 8800 or above, and pixel shader 3 to work well, not to mention that it handles some things differently, like alpha and has its own problems that make it not very practical to add to a regular engine. Hardly any big commercial engines use it yet, not even sure Unreal does.

I guess I can take my 360 vote elsewhere more constructive for the time being. Was something I was looking forward to too.

Looks like I hit some bug in UserVoice. They just introduced thing called “Categories”, and I started categorizing the existing ideas. Looks like assigning a category sets status to “none”, or something. I’ve updated the things you mentioned here to their original statuses.

In short, don’t worry!

ace Aras you rock and Unity

Nooooooooo. I was totally looking forward to that xbox360 support. :frowning:

It’s often advisable to read an entire thread before posting a reply, specifically read what Aras had to say.

Sorry. I suppose after I saw that an email was sent out to everyone who voted for xbox support that it was no longer a viable option, I had to voice my disappointment. Since that’s not the case however, please ignore my last comment.

From the Unity Blog: @GDC 2010 Unity will be showing Interstellar Marines on the Xbox 360!

Interstellar Marines - now that game looks AAA

Agreed.

Honestly, i’m afraid of looking at what positions my wishes went. On the other side i would be curious but these big huge numbers kind of scare me.

[I might add that with the upcoming new soundsystem, i would love having an option for fft some audio input in order to use it for controls.]
