We are an indie game studio about to launch our latest Major IP. We are looking for an indie game developer to assist us in developing the game working remotely and at times in London.

Duties

  • Collaborate with the game development team to design and implement innovative and engaging video game experiences
  • Capture client requirements and specifications, incorporating them into design plans and development.
  • Create and maintain detailed design documentation, including game mechanics, level layouts, and character abilities
  • Develop and implement gameplay systems, including player controls, AI behavior, and game physics
  • Design and balance game progression, difficulty levels, and reward systems
  • Create and integrate UI elements, menus, and in-game HUDs
  • Collaborate with artists and coders to ensure assets align with the overall game design documentation
  • Conduct playtesting sessions to gather feedback and iterate on game design elements
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in video game design

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in Angular, iOS development, GitHub, and application development frameworks
  • Proficiency in HTML5, C#, Java, and object-oriented programming (OOP) principles
  • Experience designing Unity or Unreal engines for video games
  • Ability to create test cases and conduct thorough testing of gameplay mechanics
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Trello for task organization and tracking
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively to overcome design challenges
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

The development team will currently working on a revenue share basis.
