I have tried many times, but I cannot create a new Palette within the Tile Palette panel.
I created a new palette through the Project panel, but I cannot create a Tile Asset by inserting a Sprite. To be precise, it is possible to create one by one, but it is impossible to create multiple.
I checked all the tutorials and threads, but couldn’t find any related issues.
I am working in a Mac environment.
I also tried both 2021.3.14f1 and 2022.3.14f1.
May I know how did you try to create a new Palette within the Tile Palette window? Was it via this Tile Palette dropdown menu?
Yes, this does seem strange. I may be missing something as I can’t seem to reproduce this issue. Would you be able to share more screenshots such as your Texture Importer Inspector, the Sprite Editor window showing this spritesheet etc. That will help us troubleshoot the issue better. Thank you!
Also, is this only happening to this particular spritesheet/sprites or to all of the rest too?
Still happening on 2022.12
It creates the tiles when dragging it in but doesnt show that rectangle preview while dragging over the palette, nor does it add the tiles to the palette
looks like it got added way off the tilemap somehow (not even seen in the tile palette window)
using the eyedropper to copy it where its supposed to be then erasing the offscreen one works
