Tiled2Unity or Prefabs

Hello everybody, I’m currently working on a 2D Platformer for Android and I want to keep the Game Data Size as small as possible.

I’m using Tiles with a 16x16 size and work with bigger Tilesets.

Now my Question, is my Game smaller when i use Prefabs and reuse them in my Game or should i use Tiled and Tiled2Unity to build the Levels with it.

Tiled2Unity is a pretty helpful tool. Working with tiles is difficult in Unity without Assets from the Asset Store. I’d personally say that you should use Tiled2Unity and Tiled, but you can alternatively try to make a tileset system yourself. Or, if you want to wait, I believe Unity will be adding tileset features to the engine soon. I think there’s already been a beta for it. It’s been a while since I’ve used Unity, so they may have already added some tileset features.
