Open a brand new 2D project in 2022.3.40f1. Add a hexgonal flat-top tilemap into default scene and then open the tile palette editor and create a new hexgonal flat-top palette, then drag my sprite into the palette editor. It should show a flat-top tile in the editor, however it shows point-top tile instead.
I have tried the above procedures in 2022.3.23f1 too, which correctly shows the flat-top tile in tile palette editor.
Is this a bug or some configuration setting changed?
