timed GUI texture

I have tried attaching the C# script to the GUI texture object, but it does not seem to have any effect. Is there another way to time the GUI to disappear after a set time? thanks

There are a couple of ways you can disable a GUIText object after a certain amount of time. Two of the most common are:

Coroutines
