TITUS - Help us finish our iPhone game!

Presentation:
TITUS is a dark and cynical political simulation game. It’s full of cheap shots, corruption and 3D mini-games for your iPhone and iPod Touch.

In addition to the Free Play mode, the game will include a campaign mode where you play as TITUS, a agoraphobic watchmaker who decides to enter politics to achieve his dream of becoming the President of Wealland.

Crowdfunding
The development of this game has already begun since several months but it lacks funding to achieve it.
We created an Ulule project to get the last bit of funding we need to release our game.
Ulule is similar to Kickstarter, by supporting our project you get rewards (access to the Beta, Mac/PC games we made, original sketches from TITUS development…)

http://www.ulule.com/titus/

Thanks to Ulule we already get 27% of our project financed in just 5 days (411/1500€) !

No need to say that TITUS is made with Unity3d
I will keep you updated with the status of TITUS.

Erm so you are basically asking for the amount to cover iphone pro etc?

Having Unity iPhone Pro isn’t our top priority here. By far.

Extract:
The development of this game has already begun since several months but it lacks funding to achieve it.This means that TITUS needs:

  • tweaking of gameplay parameters
  • improving the gameplay of the mini-games
  • “Tips” and “How to play?” help screens
  • some graphical polish
  • a re-writing of some of the texts
  • an English translation
  • general optimization for the iPhone

In addition, we would loved to make an iPad version of TITUS. We’ll not change the gameplay of the game but at least adjust the screen resolution graphics.

I hope this isn’t the start of numerous “I need 1500 euros to design/start/finish/tweak my game! kthxbye!” threads.

There are lots of people trying to develop games with zero/limited budget. Put more effort in.

While I agree that the forums aren’t the place to ask (hey, we’re all doing stuff with Unity, asking money off each other is just shifting the limited budgets around), everyone also has their own ways of getting their budgets.

Putting things up on a fund-raising site is not a bad approach. In my book, it is putting effort in, because you do commit to a specific effort in exchange of the money. At the point you put it online, it stops being a just-for-fun project, and you’re committed.

Which for some people is just what they need to get it done.

Yes, it’s also a way for staying committed to the project and it force you to talk more about your project than you normally do. And it’s a good thing I think.

Anyway, here another update.

TITUS has 5 different 3D mini-games, and the most common is the campaign flyers distribution game. Unfortunately, it is also the one that still requires more work.

The following video presents the basic gameplay of the campaign flyers distribution game. With one or two more gameplay elements, it will be perfect

Controls : Tilt your device to control the character.

(I don’t remember if I can embed the youtube video in my post on the Unity forum, sorry…)
