Please explain? Tizen: Tizen mobile support has been removed
Is this a mistake or all Samsung stuff being removed, please explain

Hi @MrEsquire , yes the support for Tizen and SamsungTV has been removed from 2017.3 as the licenses we had with them expire later this year.
Ah ok this is a surprise, I know they are small platforms.
If things change will there be a return of the platforms?
Otherwise I guess 2017.2 will be last version to use for these platforms…
There’s a blogpost coming up later today, with a statement concerning this matter.

Blogpost is out. Here is the relevant part:
“Unity 2017.2 will be the last version to support Samsung Tizen and SmartTV. Following this release, Unity will provide 12-months of support, including patches and security updates. To get the latest info on Tizen and SmartTV for Unity, visit the partner page for Samsung.”

Shouldnt Tizen give you guys license along with funding if they want to keep their platform alive otherwise they’d simply follow WP.
OK, but no reply from Unity management on the issue (REAL REPLY), the politics! leave u devs/QAs to do all the dirty work…hope things get better…
