TMP Critical errors with 2017.2.0b.5 beta release---UnityEngine.Mesh.Clear not found

Honestly I can’t understand how a company continually breaks projects with new releases. I find it pretty ridiculous and it is highly annoying. Back to 2017.1

As I have already stated in a few other posts such as this one on the previous page, until TextMesh Pro is included and part of the Unity install, you will need to keep updating TextMesh Pro when you update to new major Unity releases like (5.5, 5.6, 2017.1, 2017.2) as most of these major releases include API changes which the previous version of TMP had no idea about.

At the present time, there is no release of TMP available for Unity 2017.2. However as per that previous post, I should have a new release available tomorrow which will include a release for 2017.2. As soon as these are available, I will add a link in the top sticky TextMesh Pro thread in the section of the forum.

Having said that, I might end up delaying the release by a day or two as I may have found a way to make Fallback font assets load on demand which is something many users have been asking about for a long time. I’ll know more later tonight / tomorrow as I try this out.

Oh, I know it’s not TMP’s fault, but I find it highly ridiculous Unity lacks basic backwards compatibility from one release to the next…
