Is it possible to turn on and off the hardware LED light that’s on the iPhone/iPad?
If not natively is there a plugin?

First off, the iPad does not have an LED ‘flash’. Second, the iPhone 4/4S LED ‘flash’ only goes off in ‘low light situations’. There is a way to imbed camera functionality into an app (sorry, can’t remember what it is), but to access the flash, you’d have to override the low light situation function.
