Hello All and thanks for even looking.
I am trying to make a 2 player game. But I think the abstracts of it may be way to far out of my league, but I’m not afraid to ask and try and study tutorials and docs.
I have two players. The basically go around a circle. The circle is fixed, but they can manipulate their acceleration, but cannot stop. The game will hopefully take place in VR so I’d like the players to be able to look around as they are moving. Now each player has a pole and they can articulate the hooked pole to grab items as they pass them, so the pole has to not be dependent on where the player is looking, but should always be in view.
From reading I think splines are the way I need to go in order to keep my players on the “track”. This sound correct?
Also, can anyone level some advice on how I can detach the player view from the mouse view? Like in play mode in Unity right now where I mouse is where I look (don’t have my Oculus yet) and it does some funky things with my pole and hook.
Hopefully this is the right place to seek insight.
Thanks much
